Hiring him could be her best idea.
Or her worst mistake.
Quinn has inherited the farm and workshop that once housed the famous Hardwick Ornament Company. She invests everything in reopening her family’s business and hires glass artist Nolan Vesser, whose family used to design ornaments for hers, to work his creative magic.
After an accident burned Nolan’s studio to the ground, he thought he’d lost everything. But when he looked in his safety deposit box for his renter’s insurance, he came across an overlooked piece of paper that changed everything.
As Nolan spends time with Quinn, she sparks his artistic inspiration. But when she learns about his secret, can their new romance survive?
This heartwarming holiday romance includes a free Hallmark original recipe for Cranberry Walnut Bread With Orange Glaze.

So, of course in the spirit of Valentine’s, my first suggestions in a young adult dystopian novel – Icefall (The Clearsky Chronicles) by wife and husband writing duo Walt Stone and Mica Stone. I’ve known Walt and Mica for years and I’m so excited about their new venture together! Here’s your blurb:
A world frozen for two hundred years, now on the verge of dying. A centuries-old plan to deliver Earth from extinction. Will the deep-space maneuver actually save the planet? Or will it finish off what remains of mankind?
Odessa, a nineteen-year-old MEDcadet, witnesses the murder of her anatomy professor and finds herself in fear for her life. Fighting recurring panic attacks while sailing from her home on Rhone—the fortified ark created by Cerebus—across the Eastern Sea to Earthland, Odessa manages to keep what she’s seen to herself. To her horror, however, when the vessel docks, she and her podmates are arrested by the very security force who committed the crime.
Reynal Królik, an eighteen-year-old trading post sled driver on Earthland, longs for Clearsky, though he’s never known anything but the gray shroud that darkens the atmosphere. After he and his fellow messengers foil an assassin’s attempt to kill Odessa and her companions, he whisks them away, only to discover he and she are tangled up on opposite sides of the same secret mission to slam an asteroid into Earth—one for which Rey will be the asteroid driver.
Rey and Odessa—along with their friends and a dangerous outlaw—race against time to escape Earthland, but can they evade Cerebus’ flagship war zeppelin in order for Rey to complete the task for which he was destined? A destiny Odessa was taught to deny and will fight to prevent?
Next Up – Unrest by Wendy Higgins, tells the tale of a war torn world:
Being on the run in the desert means food and sanctuary are hard to come by, but Amber Tate and her crew are not about to give up. Not after having the things they love brutally ripped from them by an unknown enemy who sent their world into the apocalypse.
Survival takes precedence, but once safe shelter is found, their guards fall and the emotions they’ve been holding in are finally released. Anger, insecurities…lust. In their tight quarters, Amber, Rylen, Tater, and Remy can’t escape it. The past must be faced, and passions run even stronger in the darkest of times.
In the midst of unrest, their worlds are rocked again when they discover the truth about the war that’s ruined their lives. They thought finding out the enemy’s identity would give them the edge; instead it’s revealed terrifying dangers they never thought possible.
I see a dystopian pattern developing here, so let’s switch it up with Nine Kinds of Naughty by Jeanette Grey, although I’m going to take a moment to admire this gorgeous cover. Second there’s a warning – NOT SUITABLE FOR WORK. LOL – yes, please! Also, Jeanette has a degree in physics which I think is kind of cool!
Lexie Bellamy can handle a boardroom. Relationships, however, are a minefield that always blow up. When a business trip takes her to Spain, Lexie knows she’ll have no problem closing the deal. But spending uninterrupted one-on-one time with her crazy-hot coworker might be more than she can take.
At the office, Lexie gets to call the shots. But this trip is the perfect opportunity for Dane Huntley to show his gorgeous boss how good it can feel when someone else takes charge…
Miles away from home, giving in to Dane’s naughty commands feels so easy. But when the trip is over, Lexie’s determined to go back to their professional relationship. Dane, though, has other ideas. He’ll have to prove that what they’ve found together is real… and he has no intention of letting go.

I’m excited because this is my own release week and I get to share it was some pretty amazing writers! (If you haven’t had a chance to check out my book – T&A: Revelations Of A Romance Novel Heroine – you can do that here.)
First up – Lisa Renee Jones. In addition to being an incredible writer, Lisa is also an incredible person – so easy to talk to and just fun to be around! Her latest is Surrender. Here’s your blurb:
Passion burns fiercely hot between Ella Ferguson and Kayden Wilkens, the man who held secrets and lies in his hands, and then allowed them to fall into hers. But even though he has become her anchor–helping her recover from amnesia after finding her unconscious in an alley, and allowing her into his secret world–all is not what it seems. Kayden still has secrets, and pieces of Ella’s past are still shrouded in the darkness of her mind, while the powerful man who hunts her will not stop until she is his. In this final, explosive novel in the Careless Whispers series, Ella discovers that while her life with Kayden didn’t begin in that dark alley…it could easily end there.
We fell in love during the campaign.
The stakes were high.
Reputations could have been ruined.
Scandal hovered over us like a cloud.
Now the man I love is the President of the United States of America.
And its not my vote he is after.
He wants it all.
My heart. My body. My soul.
He wants me by his side.
In the White House.
Normalcy will be gone from my life, privacy forgotten.
I am only twenty three. I just wanted to play a part in history. But it seems like history wasn’t done with me. The part where I lost my heart to Matthew Hamilton? It was only the beginning…
You can buy Commander in Chief here.
I’ve been told I have quite a gift.
Hey, I don’t just mean in my pants. I’ve got a big brain too, and a huge heart of gold. And I like to use all my gifts to the fullest, the package included. Life is smooth sailing….
Until I find myself stuck between a rock and a sexy roommate, which makes for one very hard…place.
Because scoring an apartment in this city is harder than finding true love. So even if I have to shack up with my buddy’s smoking hot and incredibly amazing little sister, a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.
I can resist Josie. I’m disciplined, I’m focused, and I keep my hands to myself, even in the mere five-hundred square feet we share. Until the one night she insists on sliding under the covers with me. It’ll help her sleep after what happened that day, she says.
Spoiler-neither one of us sleeps.
Did I mention she’s also one of my best friends? That she’s brilliant, beautiful and a total firecracker? Guess that makes her the full package too.
What’s a man stuck in a hard place to do?
You can buy Full Package here.
Sometimes you just see a cover and it draws you in – that’s how I was with Worth The Wait by Claudia Connor. There’s just something about that sexy smile that made me click and read the blurb and then I knew I had to have it. Here’s the blurb that sent my fingers to one-click!
He broke her heart. Now this FBI agent is down on his knees to win her back.
Nick Walker found his one and only when he was just nineteen.
It’s been ten years since Nick watched Mia walk out of his life. Ten years of pain and regret. Now this FBI special agent will do anything to win her back.
But it won’t be easy…
Mia’s heart was shattered by Nick. They’ll have to face their painful past if they want a future, including Mia’s own secret about that day it all fell apart.
You can get Worth the Wait here.
Today is a guest blog from my bestie Gena Showalter!!
When my best friend Jill Monroe—who is known for her steaming hot HQ Blaze romances—decided to go the self-publishing route, I was over the moon excited. She had an idea so creative, so danged delicious, I wished like crazy I’d thought of it first. (Cue Gena’s childish pout.) Check it: A woman learns she is the heroine of a romance novel, and she’s totally aware of the author…an author who continues to change her mind about the heroine’s occupation, the hero’s eye color and any number of other things. An author who—strangely enough—loves torturing her characters with embarrassing situations. (cough sounds just like Jill cough)
Fast-forward a few months. Jill and I—me? Whatever! We’re in New Orleans with the amazing Kresley Cole, plotting our upcoming books – and oh my gosh, I hope you are ready for some of our best plots ever! Anyway, we’re tossing out title ideas for Jill’s Revelations of a Romance Novel Heroine book. I’m flipping through my mental files for naughty phrases and intimate body parts – what? Don’t act like you’re surprised LOL – and T&A hits me like a golden sledge hammer. I shout, “T and A!” and our hotel room goes quiet. A second later, we’re high fiving, fist pumping the air, and grinning like lunatics. We knew we’d nailed it—just like the hero nails the heroine in the book. Total satisfaction.
Yeah, I’m patting myself on the back and taking ALL credit for the success of T&A: Revelations of a Romance Novel Heroine. Because dang, I like that title. And okay, okay, the book itself is Jill best work EVER. It’s sizzling and sexy, breathtakingly exciting, brilliantly witty and so freaking fun. Order your copy today!

The weather in Oklahoma was 79 Monday, now it’s blustery, cold and yeah…I can’t wait to get under a blanket and read!
So first up – the great new books from Harlequin Blaze! I love the Blaze line, and I’m so sad to see it close later this year BUT in the meantime, there’s some great new reads.
Jo Leigh visited Oklahoma once and Gena Showalter and I talked her ear off – and she let us! She’s awesome! Tanya Michaels and I met when we were still unpublished and chasing the dream of seeing our books on the shelves. Her writing is funny, poignant and hot. Not only does Lisa Childs write for so many interests – she knocks each one out of the park! She will also stand beside you at a party so you won’t feel like a complete wallflower – thanks, Lisa! Katherine Garbera rocks the house and you won’t want to miss Pushing the Limits!
I’ve got blurbs galore:
DARING IN THE CITY by Jo Leigh
Luca Paladino moves into the town house he’s renovating in Little Italy—a town house he thinks is empty. But he soon discovers a squatter upstairs, who turns out to be the woman of his dreams!
TEMPTING THE BEST MAN (Wild Wedding Nights) by Tanya Michaels – When Professor Daniel Keegan runs into Mia Hayes at his best friend’s bachelor party, their chemistry is off the charts. They’re complete opposites, but she can’t help tempting him to get a little wild…
HOT PURSUIT by Lisa Childs – Hotshot superintendent Braden Zimmer is surprised when beautiful, young Sam McRooney shows up to take over his arson investigation. Will their sizzling chemistry bring them together, or is it a deadly distraction?
PUSHING THE LIMITS by Katherine Garbera – Astronaut Hemi “Thor” Barrett is training at the Bar T Ranch to make the elite long-term mission crew. He can’t afford to be hot for teacher, and survival instructor Jessie Odell is definitely raising his temperature…
From New York Times bestselling author, Kristen Ashley, comes the long-awaited story of Daisy and Marcus, Rock Chick Reawakening. A prequel to Kristen’s Rock Chick series, Rock Chick Reawakening shares the tale of the devastating event that nearly broke Daisy, an event that set Marcus Sloan—one of Denver’s most respected businessmen and one of the Denver underground’s most feared crime bosses—into finally making his move to win the heart of the woman who stole his.
Fall for a woman over text messages? No way in hell.
Reality can never be as good as the fantasy, right?
Wrong. It’s better.
Banner Regent is smart, funny, and she’s so far out of my league, she might as well be royalty.
I’m a mechanic from Kentucky. She’s a New York City party girl.
We were never supposed to meet, but one text started something neither of us saw coming.
How do you seduce the woman who already has everything?
Show her what it’s like to be with a real good man.
You can purchase Real Good Man on Kindle here.
If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you’ll know I’d planned to take down the tree on the 29th. I only sat down to read a chapter of L.J. Shen’s Vicious and ended up basically reading for 2 days straight – even though my husband was trying to tempt me with football! Days later, the tree was still not down but I did finish the book and it was wonderful. Your official blurb:
They say love and hate are the same feelings experienced under different circumstances, and it’s true.
The man who comes to me in my dreams also haunts me in my nightmares.
He is a brilliant lawyer.
A skilled criminal.
A beautiful liar.
A bully and a savior, a monster and a lover.
Ten years ago, he made me run away from the small town where we lived. Now, he came for me in New York, and he isn’t leaving until he takes me with him.
She is a starving artist.
Pretty and evasive like cherry blossom.
Ten years ago, she barged into my life unannounced and turned everything upside down.
She paid the price.
Emilia LeBlanc is completely off-limits, my best friend’s ex-girlfriend. The woman who knows my darkest secret, and the daughter of the cheap Help we hired to take care of our estate.
That should deter me from chasing her, but it doesn’t.
So she hates me. Big fucking deal.
She better get used to me.
You can order Vicious on Amazon/Kindle here.
Also – at the end of this week my latest – T&A: Revelations Of A Romance Novel Heroine releases. You can read more about it here.
Okay, sure I should have posted this yesterday since it was kind of, sort of the first day of the month. But I was actually quite busy yesterday – reading! (I was also supposed to take down the tree before the new year, but I was busy reading then, too).
So TODAY I will do my Calendar Week 1 post. Woot woot! In honor of my January 7th release of T&A: Revelations Of A Romance Novel Heroine, this calendar will focus on T&A!!!
Jan 1 – Check Your T. Okay, we all know this is important including for men. If it’s not part of your monthly routine, make 2017 the year it does. Click here to learn how to check your T.
Jan 2 – Share my calendar on Facebook and/or Twitter for a chance to win a prize. Go here for details, and you can always stay up to date on contests by signing up for my newsletter and checking out my contest page.
Jan 3 – Think one great thing about your A. This can be tougher than it sounds. Many of us have a hate/hate relationship with our A. It’s too small, it’s too big… But today, you just get think great things about your backside!
Jan 4 – Pre-Order T&A! I love doing a pre-order because it’s right there on my tablet or phone the minute the book goes live – I don’t have to do a thing. You can pre-order T&A from your favorite E-Book retailer by going here.
Jan 5 – Give a book to a friend. Books are honestly some of the best gifts. I also love giving recs (and getting them!). It’s cold outside – stay in and read!
Jan 6 – Treat yourself to something sweet! Okay, some of us might be a little overloaded from the holidays, but treating yourself to something sweet doesn’t always have to be food (although why not?). Just be good to yourself today – you deserve it!
Jan 7 – My book goes LIVE!!! You can read an excerpt here.
Okay, bonus questions – how many times did I need to use my spellchecker to write the word calendar? If your answer is all of them – you’re correct!
