This has been a crazy week for book lovers – crazy good! So there’s never been a better time to stay inside and read! If you missed Stay Inside and Read #3 – go here.
This past weekend I spent in the wonderful city of New Orleans for FeverCon. What a blast! Not only did I get to hang and eat some of the greatest food with my bestie Gena, but I got to see Karen Marie Monning and Dianna Love again (I’ve left her blurb and cover for last!), but I got to meet the amazing Darynda Jones in person. (Her latest book – Eleventh Grave in Moonlight comes out the 24th – more on that next week.)
So first up will be Karen Marie Moning’s Feversong. Here’s your blurb:
As Mac, Barrons, Ryodan, and Jada struggle to restore control, enemies become allies, right and wrong cease to exist, and the lines between life and death, lust and love, disappear completely. Black holes loom menacingly over Dublin, threatening to destroy the earth, yet the greatest danger is the one MacKayla Lane has unleashed from within: The Sinsar Dubh—a sentient book of unthinkable evil—has possessed her body and will stop at nothing in its insatiable quest for power.
The fate of Man and Fae rests on destroying the book and recovering the long-lost Song of Making, the sole magic that can repair the fragile fabric of the earth. But to achieve these aims, sidhe-seers, the Nine, Seelie, and Unseelie must form unlikely alliances and make heart-wrenching choices. For Barrons and Jada, this means finding the Seelie queen, who alone can wield the mysterious song, negotiating with a lethal Unseelie prince hell-bent on ruling the Fae courts, and figuring out how to destroy the Sinsar Dubh while keeping Mac alive.
This time, there’s no gain without sacrifice, no pursuit without risk, no victory without irrevocable loss. In the battle for Mac’s soul, every decision exacts a tremendous price.
You can purchase Feversong here.
If you spend much time around me and I start talking books – it won’t be long before I mention Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. I read their first book together because I thought their title was intriguing and I loved the blurb and cover. Little did I know they’d both become my automatic one-clicks! Vi has a new book out this week, and reading Egomaniac is my reward to myself after I write a synopsis. (This will probably be the fastest written synopsis EVER!) First, take a moment to love on the cover. Now here’s your blurb:
The night I met Drew Jagger, he’d just broken into my new Park Avenue office.
I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills.
He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.
Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant.
Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.
Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He’d been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.
Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn’t really available for rent.
I was swindled out of ten grand.
The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he’d let me stay until I found a new place.
I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn’t help giving him a piece of my mind.
I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.
The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages.
The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing.
And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

Carly Phillips is wonderful. When I was an unpublished author and trying to sell to Harlequin, she was so generous with her time and advice, so I’m thrilled she has a new book out! Check out Big Shot, that she’s writing along with Erika Wilde.
Wes Sinclair is a notorious heart-breaker, a hot as sin bad boy with a panty-dropping smile no woman can resist. Except for his best friend’s little sister and business adversary, Natalie Prescott, who seems immune to his flirtatious charms. While she’s become a permanent fixture in his dirtiest, most scandalous fantasies, she wants nothing to do with him, or his seductive promises. Challenge accepted. His goal? To bring her to her knees, make her beg, and show her just how good being bad can be.
You can get Big Shot here.
There’s nothing more intriguing than a terrible and secret past – in a romance novel – I’ll pass in real life. Sawyer Bennett brings all that and more with Finding Kyle. (If you can’t stop gazing at that cover you’re not alone!) Check it:
When you’ve lived your life as a criminal…
When you’ve done unspeakable things …
When your soul has become dark and stained…
The path to redemption begins where you least expect it.
Kyle Sommerville is in hiding and doesn’t want to be found by anyone. Certainly not by his quirky, free-spirited neighbor who’s managed to push her way past the walls he’s built around him. But Jane Cresson’s indomitable will and insatiable curiosity about her reclusive neighbor makes it impossible for Kyle to stay immersed in his dark world.
Little by little, she claws through his shell.
Day by day, she gets him to smile a little more.
Night by night, they both find pleasure they never knew existed.
When Kyle’s terrible past is exposed, Jane begins to think she’s in over her head. Can her love for this broken man finally clear his path to redemption, or will Kyle’s darkness extinguish every bit of hope she’s put into him?

So I’m trying to describe this book without major spoilers, so let’s just say there’s dark secrets and dangerous enemies and a sexy and powerful billionaire!
